Greetings and welcome to the domain of Lord Bartholomew Hightower of
Canterbury. I reside in the
Shire of Cote du Ciel in the beautiful
Kingdom of Artemisia, and have recently found my gentle brethren
again after a curious 13-year long slumber from which my
spright finally roused me.
I enjoy the lively art of heavy combat in these
Current Middle Ages, and like nothing better than to engage my like-minded
comrades in a round of healthy swordplay (or, alternatively, in a round of
the king's ale). If someday we meet on the field of battle (or in a friendly
tavern), I ask that you remind me of your pilgrimmage through my lands, so
that I may greet you again with the joy of refound friends.
In fitting with my role as host for all pilgrims
travelling through my domain, I especially invite you to visit my
gallery of portraits that I
wisely procured during one of my recent sojourns to France. Afterward, I
entreat you to visit with my
armorer to find new ideas for putting armor together. Perhaps you
might take your rest by the fireside, and read through a collection of tales I am compiling. Before
you leave for other lands, be sure to chat with my
archivist to learn the location of some of the
interesting places that I have found in my own travels.
