Assignment 8 Due: Nov. 10, 2008 by 11:59pm This assignment has two parts: the final project report and the voice programming component. Final Project Report --------------------- Prepare a 20-minute final project report. Your report should clearly describe your project, define all the software components that must be completed for the project to work, and state a reasonable schedule for completing the project. Limited Domain Voice Programmaing ---------------------------------- Follow the steps in the time voice synthesizer discussed in class to create a limited domain voice synthesizer for route instructions for the USU campus. I would start with following the steps of the time example and getting it to work on your machine. Once you get it to work, you can go and work on the routes project. Here is an outline of the steps that you may want to take to complete this project. 1. Write a CFG grammar. Your grammar should be sufficiently powerful to generate simple route directions for the USU campus. 2. Use your grammar to generate the utterances that you will record. 3. Record your utterances as wav files. 4. Follow the steps outline in class to conduct the unit selection analysis. 5. Submit your data/routes file through Eagle.
