I am assistant professor in the
Department of Computer Science
at Utah State University.
I'm also the
ACM SIGMOD DiSC Editor,
the
ACM SIGMOD Anthology Editor and
the Information Director
for ACM Transactions on Database Systems.
I research and teach in the area of database systems.
My interests include temporal databases, native XML databases,
data cubes, and providing support for proscriptive metadata.
Prior to coming to USU I was a professor at
Washington State University,
James Cook University,
Aalborg University,
and
Bond University.
I am a graduate of New College
and obtained my Ph.D. from the
University of Arizona.
